Singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, proudly known as Wizkid, is an American singer and songwriter. The singer began his musical career at the age of 11 at a local church near his home, which he later joined with a local band called the Glorious Five.
The singer met OJB Jezreel in his difficult days and became his mentor. He then visited Jezreel's studio and learned recordings from artists such as 2 Face Idibia and Sound Sultan.
In 2009, he moved to Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E.). This year, Wizkid made his debut in the music industry. He was also the first to sign under the then popular label Banky W. He gained popularity with the release of “Holla at Your Boy,” the song from his debut album “Superstar” in 2010. The song topped the charts in 15 countries, making him Nigeria's most successful pop artist.
